Rs 755.10 crore to be spent on second phase electrification works

Bhopal, December 27, 2011 (Ataullah Faizan): Electrification works of 18 districts of Madhya Pradesh have been sanctioned under the second phase of Rajiv Gandhi Rural Electrification Scheme. A sum of Rs. 755.10 crore will be spent on these works. This phase of the scheme will cover 63 non-electrified villages and four lakh 57 thousand 318 BPL beneficiaries living in 14 thousand 692 electrified villages.

Buildings of over 20 thousand Anganwadis constructed

So far, 20 thousand 962 buildings of Angawadis have been completed out of 31 thousand 862 sanctioned buildings. Construction work of rest of 10 thousand 900 buildings is going on. There are a total of 78 929 Anganwadis in the state.

Apart from education, industrial other sectors, women are also making their mark as cultivators in Madhya Pradesh. It may be mentioned that at the behest of Chief Minister Mr Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Madhya Pradesh Women in Agriculture (MAPWA) Project is being effectively implemented in the state. About 60 to 70 percent works in the agriculture sector are done by rural women while they indirectly participate in other works. The State Government has launched a new project since the year 2007-08 with a view to giving technical shape to women's participation in agriculture and ensuring quality in the works being undertaken by women.  Bhopal, December 23, 2011 (Muslim Saleem):Chief Minister Mr Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced at Antyodaya Mela at Badnagar in Ujjain district that a sum of Rs. 10 crore will be sanctioned for the construction of Badnagar bypass. He also announced to sanction requisite funds for upgrading Badnagar Hospital from 60-bed to 100-bed hospital. The Chief Minister announced to sanction Rs. 50 lakh for Badnagar Municipality and Rs. 5 lakh for Gita Bhavan Trust, Badnagar. He assured to sanction Chamleshwar, Chincholiya and Suklana irrigation projects after the proposals are found to be technically correct.

Even when he has embarked on the ambitious Beti Bachao Abhiyan, he has not put other important issues on the backburner. Recently, Mr Chouhan once again asked the state machinery to intensify fight against malnutrition, reports SMS New & Features.

Chief Minister Mr Shivraj Singh Chouhan took a meeting of officers at Satna late on Monday night. He stressed to identify the places where condition of children is serious due to malnutrition. On burnt-up transformers, he said that the work of replacing them should be undertaken as per decided norms.
