Dr. Sharma was pride of India


CM pays floral tributes to Dr Sharma on death anniversary
  Bhopal, December 27, 2011 (Muslim Saleem): Chief Minister Mr Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that late Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma was the pride of the country. His personality and deeds are inspirational. He dedicated his life for service to the nation. Mr Chouhan was paying tributes to the former President Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma by garlanding his statue at Retghat Crossing on VIP Road here this morning. A two-minute silence was also observed as mark of tribute to late Dr. Sharma.

 Chief Minister Mr Chouhan said that Dr. Sharma discharged all the responsibilities entrusted to him with flying colours right from the days of India's freedom struggle up to India's reconstruction as well as during his stints as President, Vice-President and Union Minister. He said that the mere thought fills our hearts with a sense of pride that an expert of various languages like late Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma belonged to our state and Bhopal
Dr. Sharma's mother Mrs Sampatbai Sharma and other relatives, Bhopal Municipal Corporation Chairman Mr Kailash Mishra, former MLA Mr P.C. Sharma, Mr Ashok Jain Bhabha, Mr Anand Taran, Collector Mr Nikunj Shrivastava, Superintendent of Police Mr Yogesh Choudhary, Director Culture Mr Shriram Tiwari, BMC Deputy Commissioner Mr Arvind Dubey, corporators and citizens were present on the occasion.
